What Is The Clamping Force Of Turnlock Parts?

A turnlock typically doesn’t ensure a fixed clamping force. Instead, the clamping force varies based on the thickness of the panels in the customer’s application. Generally, thicker panels result in greater clamping force.

It’s crucial for the customer to conduct tests within their specific application because the clamping force is influenced by variations in panel thickness and the thickness of the compressed seal.

Clamping forces of turnlocks also vary according to the series:

  • MTH: 30-60N
  • HGR: 150-250N
  • MHS: 350-380N
  • HHS: 50N-500N

If you require a quarter turn with a consistent and repeatable clamping force, we recommend switching to our SPANCLAMPS website.
